You've probably spent more time at work playing your favorite Flash game than doing actual work (and yes, Farmville is a Flash game). Here are five more ways to get paid doing nothing. Just remember, Windows Key + D is the best way to avoid getting caught by the boss.

Canabalt.jpg

Canabalt

Inspired by the classic action-movie staple of the hero running a gauntlet of Michael Bay set pieces, Canabalt features pixelized eye candy and simple mechanics. All you have to do is press X or C to jump at the right time, avoiding objects that will rob the momentum needed to make that next death-defying leap. http://www.adamatomic.com/canabalt/

Continuity.jpg

Continuity

Part of a great Continuity experience is realizing how it's a clever mix of platform and sliding puzzle gameplay. Another is the serviceable yet catchy background music. So I'll leave you to figure out how things go, and suggest that you wear earphones. http://www.continuitygame.com/

First_Person_Tetris.jpg

First-Person Tetris

Whoever thought Tetris could make you dizzy? In First-Person Tetris, your viewpoint rotates, instead of the tetrominoes (or the shapes). Other than that, it's your garden-variety Tetris, played on a virtual NES, complete with 8-bit console music. Bonus tip: If you want more challenge and less dizziness, try Night mode. http://www.firstpersontetris.com/

GNOP.jpg

GNOP

Many people consider Pong the first popular video game. Compared to today's games, however, it's pretty boring and one-dimensional. Enter GNOP, which adds some entertaining complexity to the Pong's classic paddle-and-ball game play. Despite the lack of a two-player mode (all games listed here have none), you will be challenged. http://bitbattalion.com/games/gnop/

QWOP.jpg

QWOP

You may have heard of QWOP, a game named after the four keys you use to control a ragdoll runner (Q, W, O, and P). Q lifts the runner's left thigh, O the left calf, while W and P do the same for the right leg. If that sounds a bit complicated, you're absolutely right. QWOP is the only game on this list I've yet to win (other than Canabalt and First-Person Tetris, of course, which have no end). http://www.foddy.net/Athletics.html

None of the above games are new, so if you've already played some or all of them, I do apologize. I refuse to let you close this page without sharing your favorite addicting yet simple Flash games. So comment away below!
