ELECTION 2010: Find your precinct online

It took a flood of biblical proportions to expose all the dirt and grime in our society. No, we're not talking about the eroded soil or the floating garbage, but the deterioration of our nation brought about by a number of factors. In seven months, we will elect new people into power, and for the first time, technology will be lending us a hand in a massive scale.

The computerization of the elections, however, is good for nothing if voters don't go out and do their thing. If you're a registered voter, you can check your voting precinct online via Comelec's Precinct Finder. All you need to enter is your full name and your birth date, and the search engine will show you your precinct location and registration status.

If you see any anomalies in your entry, rush on over to your nearest Comelec office and have it fixed. You owe it to yourself and to your country.

The service has been active for quite a while, but we believe a friendly reminder is in order. Hey, we're not called Techie.com.PH for nothing.
