1. Smartmatic/CF card/PCOS machine hearings (joint session of Congress) (-)
Proof that a good number of the Philippines' lawmakers are more backward than we thought. A lesson in humility is in order, because it's more than obvious that the Renaissance man is now dead. 7. A real-life Hoverboard (+)
A gift from the fictional future to the genuine present. This Back to the Future-inspired transportation gear finally got real, thanks to French artist Nils Guadagnin. It's far from being a production model, but it proves that it can be made.

8. Philips Cinema 21:9 launched (+)
Philips breaks its silence in the Philippines with the launch of the first-ever cinema-proportion display. The TV boasts 56 inches of screen real estate, Ambilight backlight technology, and a resolution of 2560 x 1080 pixels.
9. The Samsung 3D TV arrives at our test lab (+)
A first for Techie! We finally got our hands on a genuine 3D TV today. Break out the popcorn, the PS3, and the airbeds. We're not going anywhere this weekend.
