Long lines at CD-R King

Everyone's bought something from CD-R King, and everyone has experienced the agony of waiting in their loooong lines. Heck, they even admit that not having cash registers help save you money (see Why are CD-R King products so cheap?). So we have to ask you, dear techies. Is the gadget savings worth your precious time?

  2. Jonathan: The only thing worth buying in CDR King are CDs and branded microSD/SD cards. Everything else they sell are cheap sh*t that'll break in less than year.

  3. jab: it really depends on what you're buying and how many you're buying... i really wouldn't wait that long to buy 5 blank dvd's... i never buy a gadget there that i seriously need to be reliable...

  5. Marcus: the last thing I've bought at CD-R King was a memory stick, lots of customers but no lines, national bookstore's line was even troublesome. Siguro sa ibang stores lang..

  8. Rome John Balnaja: CDs and DVDs are worth buying.. as for other stuff.. a big NO! Customer service sucks! I had this defective usb wifi dongle and they said that it cannot be returned, it worked on their PC so there's nothing wrong.. yada.. yada yada! in the end, my usb wifi dongle is useless, stored in my cabinet. :(

  13. Parashi: Hell with a BIG f*ckin' NO! All the items including CD-R's and DVD-R's with their trademarks, you can call them DISPOSABLE items with murderous LOL (ULOL ka rin) on my side with lots of #$%^&*@@$%$ specially for them! Lucky YOU if the item you bought last for 1 week...So don't be stupid, you're wasting your money for a very cheap item with a very cheap quality! It's cheap for a cheap! Use the other side of your brain...

  14. PFSDMD: Biggest lesson I learned, never buy their products involving external power supply like HDD case enclosures and IDE/SATA to USB, I bought this two items from them, at first I works well but when it gets old, they tend to malfunction, its ok if their external power supply got their fuse busted...but the worst that could happen is that it still works but its not supplying the appropriate power to your device and ends up destroying/burning your HDD. This gadgets are cheap but not your HDD along with data's you lost with it.

  15. isis: for the blank cds/dvds, yes! as long as i need to buy more than 10 pcs. for other stuff, like tripods, screen protectors, etc or should i say "un-gadget stuff" yes! other gadgets...you have to think about it many times and canv*ss the price. Some of their gadgets are considered a gamble...either you get a good one or the bad one. i bought several stuff from them, usb cable, sd card, mouse, blank dvds...luckily i was able to get the good stocks! and up until now they still work! i did bought several bad blank dvds but didn't bother to go back and replace it because i didn't have much time.
