Not that we want to make you feel you lived past several decades already but these old-school commercials from television past are rare finds, especially this day in age of post productions and CGI illusions.
Oldies, expect these nostalgic TVCs to cue you in flashback mode, rewinding you back to your happy childhood which, we're guessing was spent mostly in front of the TV.
And to those who weren't even born yet during the era, watching all these TVCs on the list and seeing the bad dubbing, godaweful wardrobes and suspiciously catchy jingles give you a rare priveledge to make fun of those who actually lived to see them aired on primetime television.
Here are vintage commercials of three decades past: 1970s, 80s and 90s-- TV ads that turned into Pinoy television gems. So YouTube, we thank you!
1.) Purefoods Tender Juicy Hotdog Classic TV Ad
Who could forget this pretty chubby gal who chose her tasty Purefoods hotdogs over slimming down and getting the attention of Carlo (Patrick Garcia)? Not exactly your ideal diet commercial but still cute nonetheless. And for those asking, her name is Chantal Umali.
2.) Palmolive "I Can Feel It" Classic TVC 1987
Now this right here has the word "retro" written all over it as far as ladies' fashion was back in the day. And yes, more than the soap, we were actually oggling on Sheila Ysrael and Alice Dixon seeing how they were so young back then.
3.) Dragon Katol Classic TV ad
We bet this TV ad became popular not because of the product itself but because of the actors' accent. There's really something funny unique when foreigners try to speak our native tongue, no?
4.) San Miguel Beer Beer "Sabado Nights" TVC
Oh yes, one of the most popular SMB commercials ever, as in EVER thanks to the catchy jingle and, of course, the alluring (and still is) Ina Raymundo.
