VIDEOS OF THE DAY: See why they're video game champs of the world

Although the growth of our gaming communities here in the Philippines is slow, we are definitely not behind in knowing what's up and who's who in the world's epic video games, the champions of all arcade champs. These guys own the title "best player" of the games you are addicted to, packing the madskills that we strive to imitate but are just too darn epic to emulate. Yabang aside, these guys can beat the hell out of you if you go up against them in their game title of choice.

So without further ado, gamers please clear the aisles as we introduce to you the gaming gods of Marvel vs. Capcom III (MvC3), Tekken DR (Dark Ressurection), Starcraft II (SC2) and Street Fighter IV (SF4).

Gaming handle: JWong/Wongba
Real name: Justin Wong
Game: Marvel vs. Capcom III

MvC3 has to be the easiest and cheapest fighting game ever made. That's what Justin Wong Tweeted a few days after testing out the exclusive and pre-launched MvC3 title. A bit too fresh, we admit. But hey, he is last year's Evolution (an annual world tournament) champion for Marvel vs. Capcom II (MvC2) and is arguably the best MvC3 player to date. Justin Wong is known for being comfortable with greatness. He is a winner and he definitely knows it. He does not have a problem with expressing his feelings at all (trash talking included).

Apart from his numerous appearances on Evolution championships, he got his popularity from his epic Evolution 2004 semi-finals match of Street Fighter III (SF3) against another awesome gamer Daigo Umehara, where he lost. JWong was a hairstrand close to winning because his character Chun Li had leverage against Daigo's Ken. His lady character's spurt of vitality is solid. A flick would have already finish him when Daigo miraculously countered all of Chun Li's hits and then, soon as he found an opening, jumped in and used Ken's endless combos. That finally smoked his way to getting the championship.

This dramatically epic comeback has created a serious rivalry between JWong and Daigo in the gaming world. With Jwong living in the United States which has the largest communities of Street Fighter and MvC, he definitely has more experience now.

Gaming handle: Qudans
Real name:
Byeong Mun Son
Game: Tekken Dark Resurrection

In any case anyone does not know, the entire Tekken franchise's root is the Mishimas. Jin, Kazuya, Heihachi, Devil, Devil Jin and Jinpachi could very well be considered the badasses of the group, though. They have the most complicated moves, intricate juggles and they require very keen eyes hence we believe that it is no accident that the Tekkeneer Legend, Qudans, used Devil Jin.

Tekkeneers may debate on who their personal champion is, aside from highest wins and titles that Qudans hold, no one can argue with the fact that he is definitely the top Devil Jin (DJ) player in the world. Unfortunately, because he was from South Korea, he has to take part in the mandatory military service that gave him a wrist injury which resulted in unexpected lost games when he came back that eventually he decided to just retire. But like a true legend, since he retired three years ago, his greatness is still being talked about by Tekkeneers around the world.
