6 tech goodies we found at the newly launched InnoTech Lab

Your good-looking hardworking Techie team recently had a mini-tour of the newly launched InnoTech Lab in Quezon City.

The facility, which is a joint collaboration between Red Fox Technologies Philippines, Intel, Microsoft, the Commission of Information and Communications Technology (CICT), and the National Computer Center (NCC), didn't disappoint. Here are 6 tech goodies that caught our attention:

Red Fox Interactive Whiteboard

The Interactive Whiteboard or IWB is composed of a little projector, a digital pen, and of course, a digital whiteboard. It lets you virtually manipulate, via the digital pen, the image that's projected onto the whiteboard without the hassle of using ink. Think of it as a next-gen whiteboard minus the marker. It is connected to a PC (wired or wireless) and is compatible with Windows, Mac, or Linux.

Red Fox Wizlib

Did you know that we actually have our very own Kindle? Us neither. Apparently, we have Wizlib, an ebook reader that comes in 3 different flavors sizes (5, 6 and 9.7 inches). It's got both 3G and Wi-Fi connectivity, too!

Red Fox Docking Station†

This basically acts as an external port that let's you connect, via USB, up to 6 simultaneous users to 1 PC or laptop. It also serves as an external hub, perfect for netbooks with limited ports. Reminds you of this gadget, doesn't it?

WizPhone Android

A Red Fox smartphone?! We didn't believe it until we saw it ourselves! And guess what? It's an Android. It boasts a 3-megapixel camera, a micro-USB port, a resistive touch screen, and a music player. Of course, the WizPhone also has access to maps and useful office applications.†

Red Fox eVolve All-in-one PC

Here's another first for Red Fox: the eVolve all-in-one PC. As with other all-in-ones, the eVolve combines the CPU, I/O ports, and monitor in one package. However, this bad boy has a trick up its sleeve – it also doubles as a bona fide TV! Yep, you can easily switch from checking your Facebook account to viewing your fave porn telenovelas with just one click on the provided remote control.

Red Fox Multi-Learner Station

This is quite similar to the Docking Station in that it enables several users to access one PC at any given time. However, the Multi-Learner Station ups the ante by enabling up to 10 users to share 1 desktop PC.†

Besides these gadgets (which will be available this August, by the way), the InnoTech Lab also has a slew of Red Fox desktop PCs that run on Intel's Core i3 processor and come with genuine Windows 7 to help them with their mandate. That is, to train government workers in using technology.
