Remember when we told you guys that Acer was going to unveil the Aspire S5 here in the Philippines tomorrow? Apologies, dear Techies, it seems we failed to mention that the Taiwanese giant is also set to launch the Iconia Tab A510 Olympic Edition tablet together with the ultrabook. Could you forgive us? Pretty, pretty please?
Seriously though, the Iconia Tab A510 Olympic Edition is pretty much the original A510, only that it has a back cover that shows the Olympic logo telling us that Acer is one of the big partners of the Olympic Games. On the inside, it sports identical hardware to its more "standard" sibling. We're talking about a 1.3GHz Nvidia Tegra 3 CPU, 1GB of RAM, 32GB of storage, a 10.1-inch (1280 x 800) TFT LCD screen, and a micro-HDMI port. There's also a 5-megapixel camera (1-megapixel secondary) and a 9800mAh battery. All that with Android Ice Cream Sandwich running the show for this one.
No word yet on official local pricing but, overseas, it goes for $459.99 so an SRP of between P19,000 to P21,000 looks to be just right. Anyway, the Aspire S5 (check out press photos in the gallery below) and the Iconia Tab A510 Olympic Edition are just two of the goodies Acer will launch here tomorrow so, yep, June 19's a pretty big day for the company, and we'll be there to witness the festivities.
On a related note, you could check out the gallery below for press photos of the Aspire S5 which will also debut here tomorrow.
