Sometime before Christmas, Intel dropped some hints that there's a smartphone and tablet somewhere running on their Medfield chip. Well they've previewed the tablet at CES, and it turns out that Lenovo has happily agreed to partner up and take a bite out of the iPad's market share.

Just to clarify, this tablet's name is NOT Medfield. It is unnamed as of press time. We do know however that it's got a 10-inch display and has NFC and Wi-Fi - that's about it. Our Engadget friends were "forbidden" from touching the tablet so for now we're good with knowing that it's got 10 hours of active use and 30 days of standby.
