So, after months of waiting and tons of rumors, we finally have confirmation on when the iPad 3 (or iPad 2S, or iPad HD) will be unveiled. Yep, dear Techies. The next iteration of Apple's tablet is set to be official next week, on March 7, to be exact. Don't believe us? See the image below.
In case you're wondering, that is part of the invite Apple sent to the media for their March 7 event which will be held in Yerba Buena Center for the Arts in San Francisco, California. Based on the image, it's obvious that we're looking at a new iPad version. Looking closer one might see an improved screen pointing to the possibility of the Retina Display being slapped on the device. We won't be surprised if that's the case. Also, the bezel shown looks to be a bit darker than the iPad 2's. This might mean the iPad 3 (or whatever it will be called) will sport a darker hue. That or it's just the way the image was taken or 'shopped.
A March unveiling is not surprising since the iPad 2 was launched in the same month last year. Given that, we think a Philippine landfall will most probably happen in late April or early May. Of course we're hoping it will be sooner.
With the announcements in MWC 2012 and the Apple event next week, it's safe to say the next few months will be really interesting in the tablet arena and, as always, we'll be happily watching on the sidelines.
