Elgato EyeTV intros 'Vuvuzela Filter' for World Cup games

Eye TV Vuvuzela Filter

Vuvuzelas are distracting. In fact, they've become too distracting World Cup audiences in the Philippines and around the globe have, apparently, been looking to filter the buzzing noise from their live feed. Enter the EyeTV with the Vuvuzela Filter.

EyeTV is a plug-in USB TV tuner for the Mac or PC which has now been given the power to eliminate the annoying Vuvuzela buzzing. According to the official press release, the filter "dampens the stadium buzz of live football broadcasts on the Mac" (what about PC users?). It doesn't state how the filter works, but we're guessing it's through good old noise cancellation.

EyeTV users can download the free update here. For the rest of us, there are things called cottonballs and earplugs to help us get through.
