EXCLUSIVE: NEO coming out with 3D laptop in August, tablet PC in October
Great news from one of our very own PC manufacturers! According to Alainne Figueras-Leonardo, NEO Inc.'s PR and advertising specialist, the Filipino company is outing its first 3D laptop in a couple of weeks (August 10). The still-unnamed PC will be the first Filipino-designed 3D-enabled laptop and it will be assembled in a factory beside our office here on Pioneer St., Mandaluyong City. No kidding.
Leonardo revealed that NEO's 3D laptop will be sold on a per-order basis at first. Customers have the option of buying either a Core i5 or Core i7 version and purchase additional 3D glasses should they wish. If Q3 sales prove promising, however, NEO will consider selling the 3D laptops in stores come the 4th quarter (October).
Speaking of Q4, here's another thing to look forward to once Christmas draws nigh. NEO will begin selling their tablet PC "by the start of the 4th quarter." It's a month behind the scheduled release of the Red Fox Wizpad and will probably coincide with the 9-inch ASUS Eee Pad, but it will present some solid competition all the same.
Specifications are still top secret for both devices, although Miz Alainne assures us that, in typical NEO fashion, these devices will offer the best bang for our hard-earned buck.
