Father spoke only Klingon to son for 3 years

Now this is out of the ordinary. A man named d'Armond Speers apparently talked to his son in Klingon for three years. We wonder if this is the result of watching too much Star Trek reruns or attending too many sci-fi conventions. Whatever it is, we bet even fans of our very own Filipino alien Kokey wouldn't be proud.
According to Speers, he was interested whether his son, going through the first stages of the language-acquisition process, "would acquire it like any human language." We're not surprised that Speers would be interested in this kind of topic, really, as he's an adviser for a company that develops language and translation software and even has a doctorate in computational linguistics.
Still, given his reason, many folks might not find it amusing that he experimented on his son's linguistic-skills development. Then again, he might just want to make other Star Trek fanatics jealous.
P.S. The plan didn't work as planned. His son, now 15 years old, doesn't speak a word of Klingon. Oopsie.
