Now here's one big reason for Filipino Blizzard fanboys to visit the land of the Great Wall. China is reportedly building a theme park based on popular games StarCraft and Warcraft. Now we've seen plenty of odd things going on in that part of the world, but this one definitely had us dreaming. A Disneyland for gamers, imagine that!
This is no joke, kids. The amusement park, which should go by the catchy name Joyland World, is reportedly under construction and will feature sub-parks based on the 2 games, complete with roller coasters and whatnots. There will also be a video-game museum as well as an electronic-gaming sports arena for geeks who are feeling a bit sporty. The rides are said to be completed, but the rest of the theme park still need a bit of work.
Now Blizzard isn't officially endorsing Joyland World, but this hasn't stopped the park's authorities from naming the sub-parks "Terrain of Warcraft" and "Universe of StarCraft."
Yeah, go ahead! It's about time the Land of Cheap Gadgets build an "entertainment showcase" for the Geek Citizens of Cheap Thrills.
