iPad's Philippine launch set for December 17 – Power Mac Center

Apple iPad: no hellos for PH yet

In typical Filipino fashion, the Apple iPad will arrive later than expected. According to Apple premium reseller Power Mac Center, the much-awaited device's official launch in the Philippines is December 17, Friday next week. So it's not December 13 as originally relayed to us by our sources (not anyone from Power Mac Center, let us be clear).

Prior to PMC's announcement, we got word from another bird that the postponement has something to do with "red tape," but didn't elaborate on it. Oh well.

Now back to Power Mac Center. The reseller is offering free iPad lessons from December 17-19 at the Greenbelt 3 (1 p.m., 3 p.m., and 6 p.m.) and TriNoma (6 p.m.) branches. Be sure to take advantage of them.

NOTE: The article has been updated to make it clear that an official announcement of the launch date was not made before today, December 10. – Editor
