And as expected, Lenovo has launched its own warrior in the
already crowded tablet wars here in the Philippines. Techies, we introduce to you the IdeaPad Tablet K1, the first of its kind from the Big L and, just like its rivals from other brands, one that aims to have a big chunk of the market for its mothership.
Actually, Lenovo's a late-bloomer when it comes to tablets having the IdeaPad Tablet K1 at a time when other manufacturers have released second, even third iterations. However, at least hardware-wise, the IdeaPad K1 is right in the mix in terms of offerings by way of specs. It sports a dual-core Nvidia Tegra 2 chip, just like most other tablets, coupled with 1GB RAM. In the imaging department, the device comes with dual-cameras, again something that's becoming a standard, with the main shooter having 5 megapixels of resolution and the secondary, front-facing camera having 2 megapixels.
On the software side of things, the IdeaPad Tablet K1 will have Android 3.1 Honeycomb and will come preloaded with over 30 apps from different partners. A Lenovo exclusive feature called SocialTouch app will also be part of the deal and is what you could call a one-stop hub for your social-networking needs. Somehow reminds us of another feature from another recently released device. Anyway, take a look at the full specs below.
