MacBook Air netbook copycat

Look closely. That’s not a MacBook Air. There’s a Windows key and there are buttons beneath the trackpad. What on God’s green earth is it then? It’s a netbook that thinks it’s a MacBook Air. We like it already.
Currently unbranded, the clone product showed up in Shanzai.com. Specs-wise, it’s definitely a netbook. Look no further than the 1.6GHz Atom processor, 1GB of RAM and 160GB HDD. The screen’s 1,366 x 768 resolution is a cut above the usual netbook resolution though.

It makes no secret of hoping to compete with the MacBook Air as it’s eager to trumpet the many ways it is better than Apple’s Air:
- “Full metal jacket”. The Air of course uses Apple’s fancy unibody aluminum construction.
- 2 USB ports. Air has one.
- Removable battery. Air’s battery is non-user replaceable.
- 11-inch screen. Air has a 13-inch screen, which also makes it wider.
- 1.33kg. Air weighs 1.36kg.
Attention Greenhills importers, this product will sell like hotcakes if priced correctly. What are you waiting for? Get ready, get set, hackintosh!
