MWC 2012: Huawei's Mediapad 10 FHD tablet unveiled

Probably every big consumer tech company has a tablet coming out in the market, so it's no surprise that Chinese giant and employee-owned company Huawei is launching a new, improved slate called the Mediapad 10 FHD. We'll have to get back to you as to what those last three letters mean, but one YouTube commenter offered that it meant (expletive) High Definition. Good one.

To see is to believe, so we'll just redirect you to the video below.

Looks sleek, right? The display boasts a whopping 1920 x 2020 resolution while the unit houses an 8-megapixel camera and runs on Huawei's proprietary quad-core K3 processor that clocks in at 1.5GHz. Huawei has been so bold to say that it's faster than NVIDIA's Tegra 3. Whoa. This we gotta see.

Storage comes in three variants (8GB, 16GB and 32GB) but the device has a microSD slot alloted for heavy users who want more capacity. Even with all these, it's just 8.8mm thin (same as the iPad 2) and weighs 598g (lighter than the iPad 2). And oh, before we forget, FHD means Full High Definition.

Supposed to be available on the second quarter of 2012, we here at Techie are scrambling to find out where we can catch a glimpse of this Asian supertablet.
