See the crappy photo? That's the rumored Nokia 700 'Zeta' spotted by some eagle-eyed peeps in the web. What's particularly interesting about the handset is that it's running on Symbian "Belle," (at least in this photo) the reported follow-up to "Anna." Now, that tells us the troubled platform is chugging along and is still receiving some hardware love from the Finns.
Based on the photos (see more in the gallery below), the Nokia 700 will pack a 5-megapixel camera with LED flash. And under the hood, the device will have a 1GHz CPU as well as NFC (near-field communication) support while a 3.2-inch nHD AMOLED display, which will take care of things in the eye-candy department. The Nokia 700 could be the replacement for the very masa Nokia C6-01. Yes, it looks like this won't be targeted for the high-end market too. We're banking it to be on the middle-class range.
Based on leaked specs-sheets, the Nokia 700 claims to be the "thinnest smartphone ever at 10mm." While that measurement is pretty slim, it's still far compared to most anorexic handsets out there.
Aside from the Nokia 700 "Zeta," the leaked photos also reveal three more handsets that are on Symbian's roadmap: The Nokia 701 "Helen"' with an8-megapixel camera and ClearBlack display, the Nokia 600 "Cindy" which will have an NFC chip plus a 5-megapixel camera and the Nokia 500 "Fate" a.k.a N5.
