Nokia announces its first-ever pair of dual-SIM mobile phones
It's no secret that the cheap dual-SIM phone category is the turf of smaller handset manufacturers. That may all soon change, though, as we're beginning to see big-named mobile brands invading the dual-SIM market. Take, for example, Nokia, which recently announced its first-ever pair of dual-SIM mobile phones, the Nokia C2 and C1-00. We bet these 2 will become popular in the country, so help us convince Nokia Philippines to bring the C2 and C1-00 here.

Nokia C2
The C2's rockin' a VGA camera, an FM radio, and a music player to keep you entertained. It offers a range of services via Nokia's Ovi Life Tools. Heck, it also has GPRS and support for microSD cards with up to 32GB of capacity. It is hot swappable as well, letting you insert or remove a second SIM card even without turning it off. Nice touch, eh?

Nokia C1-00
This one boasts an incredibly long standby battery life of up to 6 weeks, the longest for any Nokia mobile phone. It has an FM radio, a flashlight, and surprisingly, a 3.5mm audio jack. The C1-00 doesn't support dual-standby mode, though, which means you can only use one number at a time. However, it does feature a dedicated button to instantly switch between SIM cards.

Besides the duo, Nokia also announced a pair of basic mono-SIM phones – the C1-01 and C1-02 (um, what's with all these Cs and 0s?). Both feature a full-color screen, GPRS, and a microSD slot. The C1-01's sporting a VGA camera, too.
The Nokia C2 will be priced at around 45 Euros (about P2,400), and the C1-01 and C1-02 will be available for 39 and 35 Euros (about P2,200 and P2,000), respectively. The C1-00's fate in terms of pricing is still unknown at press time.
Expect these cheap handsets to roll out of Nokia's factories before the year ends.
