Samsung Corby phones launched

As it turned out, the Corby TXT (P6,990) wasn't alone in yesterday's launch. The event also debuted the Samsung Corby Pro B5310 and B3410 QWERTY sliders.

As the most grown-up of the Corby phones, the Corby Pro packs in Wi-Fi and 3.5G HSDPA connectivity along with its full QWERTY keypad. It's scheduled to arrive in the Philippines in January 2010.

The B3410, on the other hand, is not a Corby phone but its feature set falls somewhere between the Corby Pro and the Corby TXT. Like the Pro, it has a sliding QWERTY keypad but doesn't have Wi-Fi or 3G. All said, it looks to compete directly with the LG KS360 ETNA (see the review here).

Besides the phones, Samsung also launched Corby Ville (http://corbyville.com.ph), a game that looks very similar to FarmVille but plays like SIM City. An online team contest is being held until February 28, 2010, where Corby phones are at stake.
