Seoul City scale model makes us feel like a Korean Godzilla
Scale models are cool, but they're even cooler when they take up an entire room, cost US$1.5 million to build, and lit by 200,000 LED bulbs.
Such is the case with this ginormous 317.29-square meter, 1:1500 scale model of the City of Seoul at the Seoul Museum of History. Every building in the capital is represented, or so we were told.
Commissioned by Mayor Oh Se-hoon in 2007, this massive work of art and technology took two years to complete. It opened in August of 2009, thanks to the combined expertise of over 2,000 individuals.

Mayor Oh drew inspiration from Beijing where a similar city scale model can also be found.
We wonder if Mayor Alfredo Lim would like to create something like this for the citizens of Manila. It would probably take decades to finish the minature versions of shanties and squatters' areas.
