Sony Ericsson Xperia X8, Spiro, Zylo, and Yendo to make RP debut in September

Sony Ericsson Philippines launched the Xperia X10 mini and the Xperia X10 mini pro today at the Sony Ericsson Expo 2010, and they teased us with a few more products they'll be outing in the coming months. By the end of Q3 2010 (September), SE will spill out the Xperia X8, the Spiro, the Zylo, and the Yendo. The best part about all these new goodies? They're all affordable .

Sony Ericsson Xperia X8

Announced internationally last month, the X8 will be the budget offering of the Xperia line of smartphones. It's slated to drop for less than the X10 mini phones (presumably around P15,000 to P16,000) and will sport a weaker 3.2-megapixel camera.

Sony Ericsson Zylo

If the Spiro is a bit too basic, then the Zylo should be more up your alley. It still doesn't have Wi-Fi but it does have 3.5G HSDPA connectivity and a "more decent" 3-megapixel camera (compared to the Spiro's paltry 2-megapixel shooter).

Sony Ericsson Yendo

Finally, SE is reserving its latest Walkman phone for a "last month of Q3" entrance (that's September). The Yendo is the first full touch-screen Walkman phone, although that doesn't mean it rocks the best specs. On the contrary, the Yendo is a basic offering sporting an old non-multitouch screen, a sub-standard 2-megapixel camera, and no Wi-Fi.

  3. Rem: so the XPERIA X8 will be the first XPERIA to offer Multi Touch capacitive screen? Natalo pa niya yung X10. :D
    July 25, 2010 at 8:03 pm

  4. emendoza: @rem yes and no. yes the X8 has a multi-touch "capable" screen (same as the X10) but the OS can't do multi-touch yet. eventually it will though.

  5. Rem: @emendoza, I think XPERIA X10 has hardware limitations, the OS has nothing to do with the multi touch function. :D I think that's why natatagalan yung update ng X10 dahil iniimprove pa nila yung compatibility ng Eclair/Froyo. Sayang naman, cheaper alternative sana ito sa iPhone 4G.
