Manila, Philippines – Epson, a world leader in digital imaging and printing solutions, introduced an impressive range of business inkjet printers, expertly leveraging Epson’s long legacy of breakthrough technological innovations.
The company held a press launch, dubbed as the “INKredible Business Printing Event”, at the Dusit Thani Hotel, Makati City, and formally launched its newest inkjet printer series: the economical and efficient Epson Max Economy (ME) for home and small offices; and the Epson ME Office Series for small and medium-sized enterprises. Epson also introduced its Epson B-Printer (Business Inkjet) Series, which is specially designed to meet the printing requirements of large corporations.
“Epson offers a full suite of low cost, best performing inkjet printers for a wide variety of businesses,” said Epson Philippines Senior General Manager and Head of Sales Ed Bonoan. “With the ME and ME Office printers, Epson can prove that inkjet printers are cost-effective and reliable business partners that will not only enhance productivity but also reduce running costs for different types and sizes of businesses and enterprises,” he declared.
The event focused on the company’s strong focus on growing its business printing market significantly by providing best performing inkjet printers that can provide long-term savings for businesses of various sizes. Utilizing Epson’s Micro Piezo print head technology, each printer series promises superior print quality, incredible print speed, and one of the lowest running costs available in the market today.
Epson’s INKredible Business Printing Event highlighted the company’s 100 colorful years of Japanese innovation by holding a Japanese-themed activity, complete with the traditional tea ceremony and Japanese dances. Epson also shared its new Noh-inspired corporate video, which chronicles the company’s humble beginnings and subsequent growth, and how it has played a pivotal role in the emergence and utilization of various digital and printing applications.
“Epson is committed to helping our home and small business customers reduce running costs with our new Epson ME and ME Office business inkjet printers,” said Hideto Nakamura, Country Manager of Epson Philippines Corporation. “Moreover, the launch of the Max Economy series is Epson’s first definitive step in achieving its goal to become the printer brand of choice to local SMEs by 2012,” he shared.
Aside from displaying Epson’s newest inkjet printer series, the event also divulged the “secret” of its printers’ optimum performance – the company’s proprietary Micro Piezo print head technology.
“Micro Piezo technology is not only versatile but cost-effective as well,” explained Koichi Endo, Epson’s Regional Chairman. “Epson’s Micro Piezo technology enables our printers to dispense ink precisely through electric pulses, thus achieving better print quality and gradation. Our printers also enjoy a minimal down time that can adversely impact business operations, and a longer life span, since they are not heat operated,” he explained.
Today, Epson is the only company in the world that uses piezoelectric print heads in all its inkjet printers.
Globally, Micro Piezo technology is being utilized in a wide range of industries because of its quality and precision, from fashion houses that print fabrics and textiles, to graphic design and advertising firms that do large-format printing. And because the Micro Piezo print head is able to print ink droplets with a high level of control and accuracy, it is the only print head in the world that can print on semiconductor chips.
Epson likewise offered a preview of its soon to be launched Media Center – a comprehensive repository of information regarding the company’s products and achievements, both on a local and global standpoint. The Media Center shall also contain high-resolution images of all Epson products available in the market, as well as reference materials regarding the company’s proprietary technologies.
The Epson Max Economy and Business Inkjet printer series are now available in all leading retail stores and distribution outlets. The Epson ME Office Series, on the other hand, will be available in the market by November 2010.
