Creative Inspire T3130
Entry-level 2.1-channel speaker sets have been selling for a dime a dozen for quite some time now. Almost every major brand has one – even CD-R King has a veritable selection. There is, however, one manufacturer that consistently innovates to remain ahead of the pack. And they're proving that they're worthy of their name with the new Creative Inspire T3130.
Let's cut right to the chase. The Inspire T3130 boasts two key innovations that elevate the already impressive lineage of Inspire speakers to new heights: the Image Focusing Plate and the Flared Subwoofer port tube.
The IFP – the gray ring on the tweeters' edge – makes for clear mid and high tones especially in confined spaces like your bedroom or living room. Details are stunning, and orchestra music, we reckon, sounded best on it most of the time.
The flared subwoofer, on the other hand, addresses the common problem of air distortion (that ungodly fart-sounding bass when your sub is turned way, way up). We ran 50 Cent's (oh sorry, fitty cent's) legendary 2003 hit In Da Club on it, and we were surprised at how clean the bass was even at 75% volume.
Put together, these two innovations make for a clear and solid audio experience unlike any other you may have heard from its class. Other than the stubby subwoofer legs and the tweeter netting, we can honestly say there's nothing to hate about the T3130.
If you have P1,899 to spend at this very moment, we suggest that you go get one of these – even if you don't need it.
